In addition to a vineyard sorting, the clusters were hand-sorted in the winery, gently destemmed, jack stems removed by hand, and crushed directly to two ton stainless steel open-top tanks and 600 litter barrels for a short fermentation of 12 days. At the completion of maceration free run wines were transferred to French oak burgundy barrels for 6 months. The remaining skins and seeds were gently pressed. 100% of the wine was bottled without any clarification or filtration.
OBRADOR is a wine from north oriented hill slopes, modern and youthful style, with soft maceration and little extraction to preserve the fruit and freshness. Combined a gentle barrel aging of 6 months OBRADOR remarks the character of the fruit without influence of the barrel. This wine has been produced manually with grapes from its owned organic vineyards, with low yields. Elegantly combines the softness of the French oak with mineral and ferric notes, the freshness and the intense forest fruits and cherry, typical of the best slopes of the PRIORAT.
